Course Aims

This supervision training (50 hours) will include the elements needed to become an effective, competent and confident supervisor from an Integrative approach. It is also an opportunity to develop your own 'internal supervisor’ as well as practice management skills.

The training model will be relational, creative, informative and experiential.

It will be ideal for those of you who want to offer professional supervision using traditional supervision methods and skills, from your own theoretical discipline.

This training will qualify you for supervising professionals who work with individual clients, or groups in short-term or long-term therapy, in a therapeutic or organisational setting.

The Course will include:

•  Supervisory relationship/model of supervision

•  Techniques and skills to enhance supervision

•  Contracts, evaluation, legal and ethical practice

•  Supervising at all levels of the process

•  The balance between participation and reflection

•  Developing ‘internal’ supervisor/Group supervision skills

•  Self-disclosure/ boundaries

Entry Requirements:

•  A Diploma in Counselling or a relevant Professional Qualification

•  Achieved 300 hours face-to-face contact hours counselling

A Certificate in Clinical Supervision (50 hours) will be awarded based on:

•  Creating a personal supervision contract

•  A written assignment of 2500 words (Supervision in Action)

•  Minimum of 90% course attendance
